Hi All, I have refurbished a few sets of 3 piece wheels now , I thought I'd share my latest build and start a thread where people share tips and builds. I started with a tired set of Panasport G7 C5C's Originally the idea was to tidy them up and re-sell them , so I removed the bolts and dropped the faces, they are full reverse mount so the faces come out from the back , these wheels are also interesting as they have no nuts. The faces are fitted with nut serts . next I sanded back the faces starting with 400 grit as there was a bit of pitting and worked my way down to 2000 grit sanding was done wet. Then I used a buffing wheel kit that I got from Bunnings. I considered painting the faces gold and did one as a test. I started cleaning up the inner barrels and found 2 were cracked decided against getting them welded . I decided if I'm going to have two inner barrels made , I might has well go all out ,l ended up getting two inners made and 4 deeper outer lips made , this was done by Whitehorse metal spinners with my measurements I then prepped and painted the faces and sent the barrels out for powder coating
